Mick was born and raised in Townsville and graduated from James Cook University in 2012. After graduating, Mick took a job at a clinic in Bundaberg where he gained experience managing a wide array of musculoskeletal injuries and providing post-operative orthopaedic care. In this time in Bundaberg, he helped runners, triathletes and elite junior swimmers return to sport after injury and guided them in enhancing their performance.
Mick then moved to England where he worked in a busy clinic in central London treating professional actors, musicians, stunt performers and dancers. This clinic also exposed Mick to persistent neck and back pain through a large caseload of office workers. Mick then began contracting to a variety of hospitals and healthcare providers around England, providing inpatient orthopaedic and surgical care, and working within teams of health clinicians and medical specialists to deal with persistent and chronic pain conditions.
Since moving back to Townsville in 2017, Mick has worked at NQ Physio Solutions where he has continued to gain experience in rehabilitating sports injuries and persistent pain. Mick loves using his knowledge and experience in strength training and exercise to manage injuries and help people return to their best. In 2019, Mick developed the Good Vertebrations class which utilises his knowledge and passion for managing complex pain conditions - providing affordable assessment, education and exercise to people suffering from persistent spinal pain.
Mick advocates for an active lifestyle and enjoys weightlifting and running in his spare time while playing rugby union locally. He also loves travelling and cooking (but mainly the eating part of cooking).Back to Team
