Do I need a referral for a physiotherapy appointment?

Clients do not need a GP referral to see a physio.  We can still process your private health claims via HICAPS without a referral.

However, if you've suffered a workplace injury, been involved in an accident or are a Veteran, you will need a referral.  Also, clients suffering from a chronic condition may be eligible to be referred to a physiotherapist by their GP via the Enhanced Primary Care Medicare program.
